The Event
Doncaster Bunny Run is an Easter weekend event to be held on Saturday 3rd April 2010 at Town Field in Doncaster.
The event will involve up to 500 participants completing a 1 mile fun run across Town Field to raise money for South Yorkshire children’s charity Safe at Last. Participants will be dressed as bunnies!
The Charity
Safe at Last is an award winning charity that improves the lives of Children in South Yorkshire.
It works to help children who are at risk through running away. It aims to intervene to protect them from what they are potentially running towards and what they are running away from.
It handles complex issues such as neglect, physical abuse, self harming, conflict and violence at home, sexual exploitation, mental health problems and many more.
For more information, see www.safeatlast.org.uk (corporate site) or www.safeatlast.co.uk (children’s site).
Objectives
Each participant will be expected to raise a minimum of £10 to help reach the overall target of £5,000 from participant sponsorship. The £10 raised should be donated via this page.
Money will also be raised from competitions, bucket collections and corporate sponsorship opportunities.
The funds raised will help Safe at Last to launch their Preventative Educations Scheme in Doncaster.
