Update:
We did it! All three of us made it to the top of the three summits!! Our age caught up with us with varying degrees of tiredness and knee pain. How ever we did get one man home inside the 24hrs (just!) with the other two not far behind. Wolfie did a great job getting us to the right place at the right time - And he made great soup too! We won't bore you with the details (unless you ask us) but if Snowdon, ScaFell Pike and Ben Nevis were a film it would be called "The Fun, The Tough and The Very Long". Take a look at the photos to see us at the peak summits and what we could (or couldn't) see.
The Challenge Background:
Our chosen charities hopefully capture the spirit of our adventures. We are fortunate that we have the means and knowledge to be able to explore the wonderful countryside that is on offer in the British Isles. For many children their personal circumstances and location mean that they can not experince this green and pleasant land - not to mention rolling hills and towering mountains. For this reason the first of our Charities is The Outward Bound Trust which provides just those opportunities to people less fortunate than our selves.
Walking is the thing that brought the three of us together, so our second charity is Walkoncemore which seeks to find a cure for those that can not walk due to spinal injuries.
So as we prepare to dig deep on our mountain ascents, I hope you will do the same with your pockets and be able to donate to these worthy causes.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Walkoncemore gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks for taking the time to read this message and for your donation
