SpecialEffect Three Peak Challenge · 9 June 2009

SpecialEffect enable fun, inclusion, independence and a better quality of life for physically disabled people across the world through the inspirational use of adaptive technology.

Story

Welcome to The Donegan Boy's Three Peaks Challenge Fundraising page!

The challenge is to climb Britain's three highest peaks, travelling through three countries, in 24 hours!

Tom and Bill have jumped to the challenge last minute to take the places of two other SpecialEffect Three Peak team members who have had to pull out. They will be part of a team of eight climbing Snowdon, Scarfell  Pike and Ben Nevis in 24 hours, travelling and climbing through the night! It is an extremely challenging, exhausting and strenuous event so it's just as well they'll be doing it for a great cause... !

The money raised from the Three Peaks is going specifically to SpecialEffect's Game for Helen project inspired by Helen Oakley. The money raised for Game for Helen will help us create a very special computer games suite for the young people of Helen and Douglas House in Oxfordshire. An organisation who provide respite, emergency and end of life care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions. Please see the YouTube link.

So please help the Donegan Boy's on their way to making this demanding challenge worth every step!

Please note - The date of the SpecialEffect Three Peaks Challenge is 17th July (not 17th August).
