On Friday 9th December 2011, The Donkey Sanctuary will be holding its annual Candlelight evening from 5.00 pm (weather permitting). Staff will begin to light the thousands of candles around the Sanctuary from 3.30 pm with the 45 minute Christmas carol service starting at 5.00 pm in the Main Barn opposite the Visitor's Centre.
This year we'll be joined by a local brass band to accompany our carol singing.
Mulled wine and hot mince pies will be available before and after the service.
Light a candle for love
If you cannot join us this year, we invite you to donate a virtual candle and leave a message.
Candlelight is becoming more and more popular, and last year over 15,000 candles were lit, each one dedicated by our supporters to the memory of a loved one, a family member, a friend or a special pet.
