Story

Thank you for clicking onto my fundraising page.

I work with Amanda and Claire in the PR Office at The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth, Devon and we have decided to help out with the Donkey Sanctuary’s 40th anniversary campaign – Sanctuary from Suffering, which aims to highlight the international aspect of our work.

We hope that you can help us raise some of the money needed each year to run our special clinic on the island of Lamu, off the mainland of Kenya.

As a parent, I couldn’t believe it when I heard Swaleh’s story – he’s just two years old and is able to ride a donkey and cared enough to stay by its side for four hours when it was poorly.  He also brings TB to our clinic for regular routine check ups.    His story is a testament of why we exist and do what we do to help prevent the suffering of donkeys.  If you can help by making a donation, no matter how small, we will truly be grateful.

Thank you,

Dawn, Amanda and Claire
