My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Donna Ida Summer of Sport 2012 donations page.

With 2011 being a great success, we have decided to go one better in 2012! How? By creating a whole Summer of Sport designed to encourage everyone to take part in a sport in 2012! We will be running, trekking and cycling, all for a fantastic cause – to help those affected by a Genetic Disorder in the UK.

 

If you wish to make a donation - please make sure you name the person who you are sponsoring i.e "Go Jessie Hogson!!" - £10.  

 

Donna Ida and friends have supported GDUK since 2009 and has made a considerably contribution to the charity not only financially but as a huge ambassador for our cause. By helping her and others support GDUK you can make a significant contribution to the lives of the children by helping fund the care and support that these children need on a day to day basis. 

 

GDUK help charities to provide a full range of practical support, equipment, respite and events which bring families together to help them feel less isolated. Thank you so much for your support and contribution towards this essential support system.

 

Jeans for Genes Day is the annual fundraising event and takes place on Friday 5th October 2012.

 

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Genetic Disorders UK work to change the lives of children and families affected by genetic disorders. Individually, genetic disorders are rare but together they affect 1 in 25 children born in the UK. Jeans for Genes Day is our annual fundraising campaign on Friday 20th September 2013.
