Hi i am the parent of 2 boys with ald, i first heard of this terrible illness 10yrs ago after my youngest son  Lee went into an adrenal failure coma, shortly afterwards he was diagnosed with "ADRENOLEUKODYSTROPHY". Ald is a cruel illness bringing only suffering to the patient and heartache to the families involved.  Aldlife has helped support us and also put  us in touch with other families in the same situation. The picture opposite was taken one summers day  a couple of years back after a few of us families had a get together, sadly Michael has now passed away. " Lorenzo's Oil " is the hollywood blockbuster movie staring Susan Sarandon and Nick Nolte, the story of two parents searching for a cure after there 5yr old son Lorenzo was diagnosed with ald, sadley Lorenzo recently passed away.  Iam taking part in the Bupa Great North Run on the 5th oct, so  please donate to this worthy cause no matter how small all  monies will be greatly appreciated.Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
