Campbeltown to John O'Groats · 16 August 2010

We work to provide access to quality healthcare for hard-to-reach communities in Malawi, Nepal, India, Rwanda, Zambia & the UK. Through developing palliative care, reducing the impact of disease & responding to healthcare emergencies, we tackle inequalities for those held back by sickness & poverty.

In August, Alistair and I plan to cycle from the tip of the Mull of Kintyre to the northerly tip of Scotland, covering over 350 miles in ?days(as long as it takes) raising funds, as we have previously done, for EMMS International(Edinburgh Medical Missionary Society). On this occasion our funds will support palliative care for the poorest in India, projects funded by EMMS.

Well - mission accomplished 3pm Fri 20th Aug  An enjoyable trip with little wind until the last 45miles into John O'Groats when we struggled against a fierce easterly - and it didn't rain the whole week until 15mins after arriving in J O'G!

Thanks again to all donors and to B Spoke Cycles in Peebles for servicing our bikes free and allowing us a trouble-free ride.

We'll keep the site open for late donations and to let everybody know about a dance in the autumn that will hopefully allow us to reach our target

Doreen  and Alistair
