This year I'm raising money for Willowbrook Hospice in St Helens.

Along with three other members of Sutton St Helens Athletic Club, Jo, Cherryl and Sarah, I've been training hard for the Great North Run in Newcastle.

Many thanks to Jackie, Jean, and Pauline for accompanying me on the long runs at the weekend.

Willowbrook gives outstanding care for terminally ill patients, and I do hope with your help I can reach my target of £300

in sponsorship for such a worthwhile cause.

Well I've  now done the race and finished about the same time as last year which was 2 hours and 13 minutes. Fortunately I had no aches and pains or blisters unlike a few of my friends! All the training must have paid off.

Off line I have raised £230 up to now but donations are still welcome to reach my target. Many thanks to those who have already given.
