Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  A month before he died, my uncle asked us to put together a book of our Gran's old recipes so that it could be made into a lasting volume, printed by the family printing company.  We decided that we would like to sell the book in aid of a cancer charity, and he asked us to select a charity specific to Lung Cancer.  Despite being the biggest cancer killer in the UK, Lung Cancer receives considerably less research funding than other forms of cancer, and although the link with smoking was established many years ago, approximately 10% of people diagnosed with Lung Cancer have never smoked.  The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation aims to save lives by funding research, helping people to stop smoking and discouraging young people from starting to smoke, campaigning for better outcomes for Lung Cancer patients, and raising awareness of the importance of early diagnosis.  It also supports people living with Lung Cancer.
