Story

Liz and I wanted a challenge we could both aspire to and here it is - the UK's hardest marathon that is not just a marathon, but a 26 mile trail run that ascends 1608 metres through the heart of Glencoe and into the foothills of Ben Nevis.  Sounds scary?  Lots more information at www.glencoemarathon.co.uk

Is it going to be hard?  Well, the current "time to beat" is 4hrs 19mins which shows how much tougher it is than a road marathon (or maybe that guy was just slow?)  And look at the profile - ouch...

Donations go to a different cause than I would usually consider, but one that is very worthy in that it will motivate a number of Scotland's "less fortunates" by taking them away sailing around the coast for two weeks - an experience like they will never have had before, and that (we hope) will motivate them to achieve in life.

Thanks for reading - and donating!
