Downhill Mountain Bike Challenge · 11 April 2006

Children First is Scotland’s national children’s charity. We stand up for children, keep them safe and support them to recover from trauma and abuse through our national and local services.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please take the timeto sponsor us online, it WILL make a difference to a child.

The challenge was for the 6 sponsored riders to do the 4 'Major' Scottish Downhill courses in 10 hours, the courses range from AE Forest  just outside Dumfries through Innerleithen Red Bull Track (outside Peebles) then onto Dunkeld and finally Fort William World Cup track in the north West highlands.  We will also film the charity runs with a helmet camera so any sponsors wish proof and entertainment just ask for a copy!

Update - we successfully completed the 4 courses in just over 9 hours, A very big Thank you to Craig Philips, David Tallontire, Brian and Will from the forestry commission at Traquair and Katrina and Bob from The Nevis range who made it possible to raise the money.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: CHILDREN 1st will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
