Story
Every year the Gloucester Docks come alive with a very special event in aid of CLIC Sargent raising much needed money for children with cancer. Please don't leave this page without giving at least a small amount to this vital charity. Our team has a very special link with CLIC Sargent as we are all connected with the Children's Cancer Unit at Gloucester Royal Hospital which provides both home and hospital care for children with cancer. From the difficult time at diagnosis right through until the end of treatment and beyond CLIC Sargent provides the staff, facilities, continuity and support that are essential to help families cope with this life-changing diagnosis.
One of our traditions is to dress up and make a special effort to dazzle the judges with great looks where racing skills inevitably fail to impress. This year we have chosen "Where's Wally?" as out theme so you can try and find our team Wallies in the crowd if you join us for a great family day out and help us to raise as much money as possible for CLIC Sargent!
Event report: The deed is done - and victory was close with two hard fought second places in two of our heats. Alas, in the end it wasn't enough and we came 13th out of 15 in the morning heats. However, it was all great fun and most of all another opportunity to raise money for CLIC Sargent in this amazing event. If you mised us then please have alook at the pictures and don't forget to sponsor our efforts!
