Epilepsy Action is creating a world without limits for everyone affected by epilepsy, connecting people with others, and providing support and information you can trust. We’re calling out the misunderstanding, prejudice and barriers that stop people with epilepsy living their best life.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After running three half-marathons in 2012, I'm taking things up a notch and running the London Marathon in 2013. I'm fundraising for Epilepsy Action, who provide a range of valuable services to people with epilepsy in the UK.

As someone living with epilepsy, I can attest to the support and advice they provide. This includes online resources, telephone support and "Sapphire Nurse" epilepsy specialists.

Epilepsy is incredibly common and for some people, can be debilitating and significantly reduce their quality of life. I'm lucky. I live and work with only minimal impact from the disorder. But I know that many others are not so lucky - and it's for them that I'm running.

We all receive many charity appeals - a sign of the times - but I want this one to be special. I want to confirm that this will be the only charity event I complete in 2013 and will do all I can to maximise my fundraising.

I'm aiming to raise £2000 by dragging myself around 26 miles (42 kilometres!) of London's streets. Every pound you can donate will count towards this target.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Epilepsy Action and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. I and Epilepsy Action thank you for your generosity.
