Hey people,

for those who now me I don't really have to introduce myself, but for those who don't - just few words about myself.

I've been playing for UBVC for the past 3.5 years, and some good years they were I tell you. I met great bunch of people which is growing every year. The club , as I remember it, has grown from just 2 teams, to now  - well, I don't even exactly know how many teams we have but quite a few ( at least 8 I'm being told) . Great credit to all those that put big effort into building the club, and helping with  running it. We have great structure of developing new coaches, referees, getting young people to enjoy the great sport and entertainment that playing volleyball is.

Recently our club has decided to join forces with Birmingham Children's Hospital. In doing that, we had in mind promoting great job that Hospital is doing for the youngest of British population, as well as getting people more interested in helping the cause. Now the time has come to do my bit....

I decided, that this year I will try to raise money for both Birmingham Children's Hospital and UBVC. For a while I didn't know how to do it, but one day one of my friends gave me that great idea. He told me he his mate has raised over £2000 in just ONE DAY during one of Formula One races, raising money for charity by.... cutting his hair!

Well, I thought if he could do it, so can I ! But it wasn't just normal, long hair he's had  - and that's what we have in common. The guy has sacrificed his beloved dread-locks to raise that money. And believe you me, it's not easy for me but I will do just the same!!!

I will cut my hair, which I didn't cut for a long 11 years!!! Yes, you got it right ... 11 years...

So now I'm asking you my dear friends to donate as much as you can for that great cause, to support both Birmingham Children's Hospital and UBVC to help them drive forward with what they are doing so well. Any donation will help, from just £1 to... well I will not set the limit, just give as much as you can. Thank you all very much and I will keep you posted on how we progress.
