Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page!
We are aiming to raise £1000 for the
Christina Noble Children's Foundation
by driving 10,000 miles
between London and Ulaanbataar, Mongolia.
All money donated will go directly to CNCF's Ger Village project, a shelter for abandoned children and orphans on the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar. This is one of five integrated programs the charity operates in the country, providing a healthy and nurturing environment for children in need of care.
A 'Ger' is a traditional felt tent of the Mongolian peoples, with fourteen of these constituting the village. Ten residential gers are staffed by a Ger Mother, often a single-parent, who creates a loving home for the children. Older children help to care for the younger, and assist their ger mother with domestic chores. At school age the children are enrolled alongside their peers at the local district school.
Wherever possible the Foundation seeks to reunite children with their families and assist the family in facing the future together through mutual love and support.
To put things into perspective - since 2004 donations have enabled the charity to build (amongst other things): a toilet and shower block, a cookhouse with dining area, a library and also to establish a 'Grow Our Own' food program.
----------------
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Christina Noble Childrens Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re not a tax-dodging student, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
After you've donated, we hope
you'll follow our progress via our website.

The rally launches from
Goodwood Race Track on Saturday 18th July.
With any luck we'll be in Ulaanbataar by 15th August...
