Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Having run the London Marathon for the first time in 2003, I thoroughly enjoyed it (apart from miles 17 to 23!), so I have decided to run it again this year. Unfortunately I had to pull out last year due to an injury, but I am back fit and injury free now (fingers crossed).
The training is going well and I am running about 40 miles a week at the moment, with the longest run being 18 miles. I ran Reading Half Marathon on the 6th March in 1hr 37mins (see the finishing photo looking suitably knackered!). This will hopefully give me a good chance of reaching my target time at London of 3hr 30mins.
I have decided to run for a small charity called the Esther Benjamins Trust who do great work in helping deprived children in Nepal. If you would like to find out more about the charity please go to their website at www.ebtrust.co.uk or I can have some of their literature.I would be extremely grateful if you could sponsor me and help me on my way to reach my target of £1000.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Esther Benjamins Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now! Please forward this web address onto your friends and family as all donations are gratefully received. Many thanks for your support. Mark
