Story
I’m giving up alcohol for January for Cancer Research UK, by becoming a Dryathlete. All through January I will not touch a drop of alcohol. So instead of buying me a drink, please donate. Every pound helps Cancer Research UK bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. I’ll be donating my drinking money and if I happen to slip off the wagon, I’ll chuck in extra to make up for it. On the plus side it means that, by February, not only do I hope to have lost some weight but, more importantly, I will have 4 weeks worth of drinking units available, which at the 'recommended' average quota of circa 20 units per week, means I can have one heck of a first weekend in February! Cheers, Steve The Dryathlete’s Oath ''I promise that I shall take part in Dryathlon™, respecting and abiding by the rules which govern it, committing myself to a month without alcohol, in the true spirit of do-gooding, for the glory of Dryathletes and the honour of Cancer Research UK''.
