We did it!!!
1779 boats took part. We finished a truly amazing race in 165th place out of 824 boats in the ISC class. Also entered in the JP Morgan family trophy, we came in 20th out of 70 boats entered. Check www.yachtduet.com and click ' race day ' for a write up of the day.

'Three siblings and a friend' Round The Island Race. Isle Of Wight. June 20th 2009
All four individuals are Round The Island Race 'virgins'- siblings Claire Price (47) Bill Price (44) Matthew Price (41) and their family friend Gordon Couling are competing in the famous yacht race in Bill's family boat 'Duet'. They hope that their varied mix of 'absolute novice' to 'experienced' together with their enthusiasm and strength of their relationships will allow them to compete succesfully and raise awareness and funds for Prostate UK.
The Price family has been touched closely by prostate cancer and hope that their efforts in the race will have a positive effect in raising funds for the charity.
As the race day approaches, our preparations are almost complete. 'Three sib's, one friend' are thrilled to see the fundraising total as high as it already is, but hope that with your help we can prove our worth on raceday and break though this target and beyond.
