Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

Carrying two passengers, a SMART car can do almost 400 miles on a full tank of petrol.

For our AMV BBDGo SMART Car Distance Challenge™ We will be attempting to do 406…

Armed with research based on low-quality Wikipedia entries and pub hearsay, we think we can achieve the extra 1.25% required by driving at an even 62mph pace, with the wing mirrors locked in, in the slipstream of a lorry, with no air conditioning (or

windscreen wipers in the event of rain) and the radio firmly turned off.

If this doesn't work, we will face no option but to push the car back to the collection point.

Our journey will take us from Milton Keynes, through Spaghetti Junction, along the M6 – ‘The Gateway to the North East ‘, up to the base of Lancashire and back again, via a detour through North Wales.

The route has never been attempted in a SMART car before on one tank.

It is a genuine world first.

Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of history.

As an added incentive, for every donation received of £10 or over we will take a roadside snap in a fancy dress outfit of your choice (that can fit in the boot).
