Beginning on 13th April this year, I will be running 365 miles in 7 races (an average of 52 miles per race) to raise money for RMHC - Ronald McDonald House Charities. The money will be going to the Brighton House, located opposite the new children's hospital.
The events I will be participating in are as follows:
Sunday 13th April - London Marathon (26.2 miles)
Finished in 3 hrs 18 mins 51 secs.
Sunday 27th April - Shakespeare Marathon (26.2 miles)
Finished in 3 hrs 24 mins 55 secs.
Saturday 24th / Sunday 25th May - Grand Union Canal Race (145 miles)
Finished in 44 hrs 11 mins - 1 of only 29 finishers!
Saturday 14th June - South Downs Marathon (26.2 miles)
Finished in 4 hrs 26 mins 01 secs.
Sunday 27th July - Downland Challenge (30 miles)
Finished in 5 hrs 17 mins 38 secs.
Saturday 23rd / Sunday 24th August - Ridgeway Challenge (85 miles) - my 50th Marathon / Ultra Marathon.
Finished in 21 hrs 14 mins 20 secs - finished 3rd in age group!
Monday 27th October - Dublin Marathon (26.2 miles)
Finished in 3 hrs 10 mins 32 secs - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
Total Mileage: 364.8 miles.
Between now and crossing the line in Dublin I will probably cover 2,000 miles in training alone, so wish me luck and please sponsor me!
