Story
I have now finished and large parts of me are unscathed. 750 miles in 13 days - which works out at about 58 miles and slightly more than five hours in the saddle each day. All worth it - mostly because of the kindness of the very Support Groups I was supposed to be supporting.
Thank you Lewes, Orpington, Upminster/Gidea Park, Northampton/Barclaycard Int'l, Liverpool/Bothwell, Northallerton/Osmotherley & Scotland/Bothwell for your kindness.
Thanks also to all the kind people along the way who made it all bearable and specifically to Mr Richard Carver & Mr Kim Darton who donned their lycra to cycle with me at important parts of the journey (the start and the very hilly middle).
And thanks to all of your who have donated either on or off-line. As you can see, the first target has been reached - but I now have a new one, so extra donations continue to be very welcome!
It is our charity's 10th Anniversary next year - anyone fancy a peddle ... in
Africa?
Thanks again,
Duncan
(and everyone at Street Child Africa as well as our Partners and, of course, the children)
