Hello from Duncan, Aldene and Alice Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We are raising money for Trinity Church, Ossett and would really welcome your support. We invite you to sponsor our vicar, Rev. Paul Maybury on the most daring and outrageous stunt of a lifetime – to launch himself off the church tower, down a zip-wire (30m high, 130m long) – reaching speeds of at least 40 miles per hour! The building needs an efficient and environmentally friendly heating system and we plan to raise £200k by March 2009 to install an eco-friendly, ground source heatpump system in TrinityChurch, Ossett through our 'Make it Hot' campaign. Once completed, this will then give us a building useable for a wide range of both community and church events 24/7/365. The church was built in 1862 from Yorkshire stone and has a spire on top of it's central tower that rises to a height of 226ft - one of the tallest in Yorkshire. In 1996 the church itself was awarded a Grade II listing. Elevated to Grade II* in 1998, it is now among the top 6% of listed buildings nationwide. Grant funding from English Heritage has enabled the whole of the roof to be renewed and redecorated inside. Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor Paul online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor him: Ossett and Gawthorpe PCC will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.All donations are secure and sent electronically to Ossett and Gawthorpe PCC. If you are a UK taxpayer, Justgiving will automatically reclaim 28% Gift Aid on your behalf, so your donation is worth even more. Please join us in supporting Ossett and Gawthorpe PCC and a great cause. Thanks and best wishes, Duncan, Aldene & Alice
