Hi there!  Many thanks for visiting.  Well ..... I have a guaranteed Golden Bond place for the 2009 London Marathon so let's get straight to the nitty gritty.

As you may know, my Dad's beloved, Christine, has MS and she goes weekly to the BMSTC for treatments. (See Left).

There are at least 85,000 MS afflicted people in the UK, each of whom relies on centres such as BMSTC around the country to provide the essential therapies which are not available through the NHS.

The BMSTC's catchment area stretches from West London to Newbury and from High Wycombe to Basingstoke covering over 800 MS sufferers. They presently cater to the needs of only half these good people and they would very much like to do so much more. As it is, their costs - which are met exclusively from donations - exceed £30,000 a month with only 6 paid staff members, many, many volunteers and 12 full and part time therapists.

The bottom line is my Dad has blagged me into running for BMSTC - which I am proud and happy to do. Not just for Christine of course. For the other 799 too, as it is an absolute pig of a disease for which there is no cure.

If you are lucky enough to be fit, healthy, pain free and fully mobile I would ask you please to give twice as much as you thought you might. Seems fair doesn't it?

Now it's my job to get fit, healthy and mobile so I can take the pain!
