The Saga Charitable Trust supports sustainable projects in developing countries that host Saga holidaymakers. It focuses on; Education, Training, Healthcare and Income Generation. In the UK, the Saga Charitable Trust supports The Silver Line, the only free 24 hour helpline for older people.

<p><span style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">WANTED</span></strong></span><span style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><strong><em><span style="font-size: medium;">&hellip;a new classroom!</span></em></strong></span> <p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><strong><em><span style="font-size: medium;">It&rsquo;s back-to-school time. But there is a very special school in St Lucia which needs your help this September.</span></em></strong></p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">Saga&rsquo;s own Charitable Trust supports The Dunnottar School, in Castries, St Lucia for children with special needs. Sited in the poorest part of St Lucia, it&rsquo;s an amazing institution. It gives education and training to around 60 children and young adults with developmental disabilities, some severe, and helps them to live the best life they can.</span></strong></p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">The school currently has around 60 children - but 12 new ones, aged between five and nine, want to join in September and there is hardly any room. The classroom desperately needs extending and renovating, and they are also in need of new learning materials.</span></strong></p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">Run for more than 30 years by the dynamic Carolyn Archibald, the Saga Charitable Trust has been involved for the past three, and has helped buy a bus, set up a computer room &ndash; and created a kitchen garden and educative chicken farm to teach the children ways to earn an income.</span></strong></p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">Guests at Saga&rsquo;s own Bel Jou Hotel sometimes enjoy a rendition from their school band, too!</span></strong></p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">CAN YOU HELP THEM RAISE THE MONEY FOR A NEW CLASSROOM?</span></strong></p> <p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">It&rsquo;s easy to donate</span></strong></p> <div><strong><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></strong></div> </p>
