Unaccustomed as I am to any mode of transport other than cars, I have entered the North Wales Car Club Llyn Brenig Bike Ride - 10 miles hard slog around the reservoir - mostly on forest tracks.  I don't expect to get myself into the record books, but do hope to raise a few bob for a very worthwhile cause.  I won't be on my own as there are quite a number of others also havign a go - I'm looking forward to the picnic at the end!!!

Well - I did it, along with 46 other people!  10 miles and I got round in just under an hour pedalling time - 59m 29s according to my trip computer.  Many, many thanks to all of you who have donated.  The day raised an estimated £1,200 for the Wales Air Ambulance who, unfortunately, had to attend a motor-cycle incident which happened on part of our route, just after we'd all passed.  The rider is believed to be OK, very shaken but no life-threatening injuries - the sheep he hit is definitely not OK.
