New News!!!

Richard Tiley and Jonathan Whymark successfully completed the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race.  The weather on day one of the race was awful (one regular race goer said it was the worst weather for the race in eight years). Day two was a bit better as it didn't rain quite as much.  Day three was ok until the last couple of miles when we were canoeing into a fierce headwind.  Day four was fantastic; we entered the tidal section of the Thames and loads of people cheered us on from the bridges and hundreds of people were there to give us, and the other competitors, a warm welcome at Westminster Bridge.  In total, we have raised approximately £3000 for Help for Heroes which is fantastic.

A massive thank you must go out to our support team, Daryl Peters Keith Boseley, and William Tiley without whom we could not have completed this race.

Our troops are still serving in dangerous places all over the world.  Even their training is dangerous, but they are always prepared to put themselves in harm’s way on our behalf protecting our way of life and our country’s interests.  They will always need and deserve our support.  So please, keep supporting them.  You can still donate using this website.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
