For those who don’t know … Carronhill School is a special needs school. There are only 35 children in the school aged 3-17, thus they don’t have hundreds of parents/carers fundraising on their behalf. However, many of the teachers/parents/carers/friends of the school work tirelessly to raise extra funds to enable them to pay for ‘extras’ such as maintaining the school bus so that they can take the children out. Every penny and every pound raised is appreciated and used for things to help bring the children on.
All of the children are special. Some have learning disabilities, some physical disabilities, and some like Dylan have autism.
The teachers at the school are really helping to bring Dylan on in his development and that, in turn, helps us as a family. Since he has been there, he has learned to do many things and he currently enjoys his outings and splashing about in their hydrotherapy pool.
It seems like there is a never-ending request for money, as such, any amount, no matter how small is greatly appreciated and will be used for something that the children desperately need but the school can’t afford from their budgets.
