E-VOLVE attempt MEGAHIKE!

At day break on the 26th June we will be attempting MEGAHIKE, 50 miles in 24 hours!

We are not going to lie to you, MEGAHIKE is an exceptionally challenging 50 mile team event set in the heart of the Pennines. This monster 50 mile hike will begin at Hollingworth Lake in Littleborough. The route will be extremely testing for the team both physically and mentally as we trek along sections of the ‘backbone of England’ the Pennine Way.

This challenge is all in aid of MedEquip4Kids, a charity aiming to ensure that when children fall ill, suffer injury or are forced to deal with long-term conditions affecting their health and well-being, they have access to the very best healthcare facilities.

We need to raise a massive £1600 by June, please help us to reach our target by donating on this website. All donations go directly to the charity.

Information on MedEquip4Kids & JustGiving

MedEquip4Kids was founded in 1985 by the parents of a baby girl suffering from meningitis and nursed back to health at Booth Hall Children's Hospital. Her parents were keen to show their gratitude to the Manchester hospital and established the Bobby Bear Appeal fundraising for the Intensive Care Unit.

MedEquip4Kids now works with medical staff, play therapists, community nurses and other registered charities to provide equipment and improve the environment in hospitals across the north of England. The charity’s policy is to fund items known to improve the care provided to children but not readily available with the NHS's limited budgets. MedEquip4Kids aims to ensure that when children fall ill, suffer injury or are forced to deal with long-term conditions affecting their health and well-being, they have access to the very best healthcare facilities.

MedEquip4Kids depends entirely on voluntary donations from people like you and it is with your help that the
charity will be able to continue to make a real difference to children in our community.
