Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
On Saturday 5th June 2010, Tim and I will be setting off from Land's End on a tandem bike in order to begin our journey to John O'Groats. On average, we will be cycling 65 miles a day over 16 days, in total covering approxiamately 1000 miles. We aim to arrive at John O'Groats therefore on Sunday 20th June. Half way through our journey (11 & 12 June) we hope to meet up with our two boys (Ben (age 8) and Toby (age 3)) and extend the bike to form a quad, so that they can say they did their bit!
It made sense to try and raise funds for a worthwhile cause during our trip and it also made sense to choose the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Here is Robbie, (see photos) my cousin's little boy. Robbie has Cystic Fibrosis and although he worried his family very much during his first few years, he is now doing fantastically well and developing his own little character just like any other child.
We would like to help the charity which helps children just like Robbie by raising funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. We will be funding the cost of our trip ourselves, so whatever you donate to the CFT will go directly to the CFT. Your donations will help the CFT carry out vital research to treat the symptoms of CF, ensuring the best care for those living with Cystic Fibrosis and provide information, advice and support to families living with CF across the UK.
Thank you so much for your donation.
