Story
On 23 June James Golding and Sean Newman (Chairman of Newmans Estate Agents) set off on a 3,500 mile bike ride across America from Los Angeles to Miami. Their aim is to raise £100,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and other charities. Macmillan provided support to James and his family during his battle against cancer. James was given the all clear on 23 July 09 and to mark the 1st anniversary of that day James and Sean would have been crossing the finishing line, however halfway into their epic cycle ride across America, Sean and his co-rider James were hit by a truck at 70mph.
Most mortals wouldn’t have survived but Sean isn’t a mere mortal – he’s one in a thousand (maybe a million). Now Sean has to deal with 2 broken legs a broken pelvis and back plus numerous other injuries – but his greatest concern isn’t his own wellbeing but whether he will raise the £100,000 for charities he committed to.
The Estate Agency Foundation (EAF) is dedicated to helping eliminate the causes of homelessness. To show our support to Sean and the estate agency industry we are proudly supporting his cause and we ask that you do with us. The EAF brings together the whole Estate Agency industry and therefore on this occasion ask you to pledge your £100 today towards Sean’s nominated charity – Macmillan Cancer Support.
Sean is undergoing surgery right now – imagine how he will feel when he comes round to discover his goals have been achieved.
All the best to James who will be leaving hospital shortly.
Thank you for your support
