Action Cancer is Northern Ireland’s leading local cancer charity and we work to save lives and support people affected by cancer in Northern Ireland Action Cancer relies heavily on donations from the public and business communities in Northern Ireland to provide a range of vital, life-saving services including early detection clinics, health promotion, research, counselling and complementary therapies. Every year we need to raise £3 million to keep our services going. Services are available regionally through offices in Derry, Newry and shortly Magherafelt, on the BIG BUS and at Action Cancer House in Belfast. Early detection saves lives.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Thanks for checking out my fundraising page.  I am at the start of a new personal challenge.  I am hoping to raise most of £3100 for Action Cancer by mid-March and I need your help!

As many of you know I recently lost my Uncle Mick and two very dear friends to cancer, so the challenge for me is a personal one.  I simply feel the need to do something, and believe that the charity work of Action Cancer is invaluable.  So please support me to support them.

I am taking part in their “Trek Brazil” challenge in June this year.  No bother for EB I’ve heard some of you say.  But let me tell you that it is 8+ hours a day for 5 days, and rated a tough trek.  There are hardly any flat bits….so I think you’ll agree that some serious training is called for.  Elvis is game!!!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.  It is an efficient way to sponsor me and Action Cancer will receive your gift aid if you are a UK taxpayer.  This is an extra 28% added in tax at no extra cost to you.
