As you may know we at RDA are celebrating our 40th Anniversary this year and as part of the celebrations we have arranged for 40 people to take part in a tandem sky dive - jumping out of a plane at 12,000 feet tied to the front of someone who knows what to do. The 40 includes disabled riders, our volunteers of all ages and most significantly (at least for me) it also includes me and I would be very grateful if you would consider sponsoring me for it.

I know that lots of people are doing these type of things at the moment, but anyone who has ever seen me on a ladder or on a cliff walk in Wales, will know that 12,000 feet, is about 11,998 feet higher than I am comfortable with, so I am not looking forward to it at all.  Added to that, I exceeded the maximum weight limit for the jump (amazing, I know!), so I am in the process of losing 1.5 stone in orer to be able to do it - so if you don't want to sponsor my jump - sponsor me to lose weight. 

RDA is a fantastic organisation and you will be helping many people across the spectrum of disabilities, age range, social status and urban and rural environments to get important and life changing therapy.  The focus of our work is to ensure that each individual has the chance to derive a direct therapeutic benefit and the opportunity to achieve their personal goal (whether that be learning a very simple skill or winning a major competition).  We can't begin to met the demand for our services - we estimte that for each of our 24,000 riders there is another 4 people unable to ride due to lack of cpacity.  The money we raise on the skydive will help create more space fpor those missing out and change more lives for ever.  (Note that all the money you give goes to RDA - there is a fee to jump, which I am paying).
