I'm undertaking this cycle for two reasons - charity and challenge.

Not that long ago I had barely ridden a bike - and when I had I had never truly enjoyed it. It felt like maddness signing up for this ride. I finally got on a road bike, and found that my perception of cycling has changed. It can be great fun - and this challenge is begging to be met in the field. I intend to meet it.

However this alone was not enough to convince me.

There is nothing for which I hold greater respect than those who have fought for our country. The stories, the experiences and the losses felt by these people is what I would only describe as legendary.

This particular charity helps some of these people who have made one of the greatest sacrifices - their sight. The sacrifice was made in service to others, to us, and now I am determined to give something back.

Just imagine what they have lost - and donate here to help some of the most amazing people who are alive today.
