I (Ed) remember being immensely impressed by the work Downside Up were doing when my family lived in Moscow in the early 2000s. Conditions like Down Syndrome were very hidden in Russian society at the time (the information from Downside Up on the left suggests they still are), yet this charity was providing world-class support to children with the condition and their families.
