We are competing in the 125 mile Devizes to Westminster Race which takes place over the Easter weekend.  As a junior crew, the mileage is split over 4 days, Day 1 taking us from Devizes to Newbury (34 miles), Day 2 from Newbury to Marlow (36 miles), Day 3 from Marlow to Teddington (38 miles) and Day 4 taking us down the tideway on the Thames to Westminster Bridge (the last 17 miles).  Not only do we have to kayak all this way, there are 76 portages to negotiate on the way and we also have to cater for ourselves, camping each night.

We have chosen this charity to support because it specifically targets our age group and cancer is something that can affect anyone.
