Story
In September 2007 I became the proud dad to little Jack but within hours of his birth he was taken very seriously ill. Jack had the unfortunate, and very rare, heart condition known as 'Transposition of the Great Arteries', the two arteries going to the heart were the wrong way round. He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary and at only eight days old underwent open heart surgery to rectify the problem. Jack made excellent progress and was well enough to come home just over two weeks later. The excellent help Jack received was only possible due to the help of the 'Children's Heart Surgery Fund' which has no government assistance and relies totally on generous donations. I feel the least I can do is put myself through my paces and as way of thanks help this vital charity. My precious son Jack would not be here today if the fund did not exist!!
