U’s fluffy mascot Eddie the Eagle is preparing for a challenge of his own later this year to help raise money for St Helena’s Hospice.
The club have enjoyed a long standing relationship with the Hospice and, as Eddie looks to continue his quest to become the Football League’s fittest mascot, he has teamed up with the Hospice to run the world famous London Marathon later this year.
The 26-mile race, which takes place on Sunday, April 25th, will see the U’s hero join thousands of other runners in hitting the capital’s streets, with the hope of raising large sums of money for the local charity.
