Okay, those who know me, i will take up a challenge!

These challenges I'm doing are:

DELTA Bike Ride, taking place on Sunday 22nd June, is 48 miles long from Reigate nr London to Brighton where I will finally receive a lolly to cool me down! It's all country bendy roads and a mammoth hill to overcome so please please please please sponsor me. I've dusted off my bike and trained time to time. Even when i confronted a gang of unruly youths as they slashed a tyre on my bike..booo!

British 10K Run in aid for DELTA. It's about time I took up running again ever since I did the Great North Run a few years ago and i want to get the running bug and maybe try and compete in the London Marathon! Those who know me, I have massive long legs and it is a sight to see to see me run. I probably look like a moose escaping from the headlights of an approaching car, all 4 legs going in different directions. So I am putting myself in front of the cameras for this spectacle! Please please please please sponsor me!

Why DELTA? (Deaf Education Through Listening and Talking). I believe that deaf children should be given the chance to learn to listen and talk, effectively communicating with the much wider world. Though i never got the chance to enrol in a summer school when i was younger as I was found deaf at 5 years old, i believe that if i was diagnosed much earlier, DELTA would have given me the chance to communicate and handle social situations much better at a younger age. Hence, i would love if all of you guys would sponsor in such a scheme that can benefit the deaf children of today and tomorrow and give them better access to the world. 

DELTA started off with summer schools that takes place annually in July. I became a volunteer in 2003 helping out looking after the children and inspiring the parents to make them believe that their deaf child can be like any other child. It still is a rewarding experience and I met some very good friends through it, some who are doing the bike ride and 10K Run with me! Please sponsor me as I passionally believe that DELTA, a unique charity in its own right, should continue with their efforts.  Thanks.
