The Edinburgh Centre for Neuro-Oncology (ECNO) provides a first-class neuro-oncology service to patients, their families and carers.  ECNO provides an easily accessible, coordinated point of contact for patients and their carers to access support, information and advice when they require it.  ECNO also actively promotes research in a number of different fields into the treatment and understanding of brain tumours which in turn will lead to faster and more effective treatment and a better quality of life for patients.  ECNO is one of the leading neuro-oncology centres in the UK, and is trying to maintain this status by investing in some new, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment such as the SonoWand to better ensure safer brain tumour surgery.  We are also aiming to be involved in trialling many models of new treatments and therapies to provide patients with many more treatment options.  We want to ensure that we provide the best care possible for our patients, their families and their carers.
