The Dockland Settlements has been supporting vulnerable, lonely or disadvantaged people since 1894. Currently we run three community centres, two pre and after-school playcare services and a food bank. We support our local communities but our focus is on the most vulnerable & isolated.

Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my fundraising page.  My chosen charity is a local organisation close to where I work in Canary Wharf - The Dockland Settlements.  For over 100 years Dockland Settlements has provided recreational, educational and counselling services and facilities to communities within the Isle of Dogs, Rotherhithe and Stratford areas of London’s former Dockland. Business development and regeneration within these areas has created a host of new opportunities for local people but many still face life in some of the most deprived areas of the country.

The charity is a thriving and vibrant organisation that faces many challenges in the coming years.  With our help, they can continue to maintain and expand their capacity and redevelop their centres.   Any amount, however small, would be hugely appreciated and go along way towards supporting this vital and integral part of a local community.
