2010 VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON
Unfortunately, I injured me knee just after chirstmas and had to pull out of the last Flora London Marathon in 2009. Luckily however, Children in Crisis were fantastic and said that I could keep fundraising and defer my place until 2010 which will be the first Virgin London Marathon.

Therefore, on the 25th of April 2010 I’m going to be lacing up my trainers, for the second time now, and beginning a 26.2 mile plod around London for the Virgin London Marathon. I ran the race in 2007 for Gap Activity Projects and like the masses, thought that one marathon would be more than enough. However, the annoying fact that my housemate beat my time so convincingly (we were supposed to running together!) meant that it was inevitable that I’d have to run it again sometime and alas next year seems to be the one!

This time round I am going to be running for Children in Crisis which is a charity which exists to improve the lives of children around the world affected by conflict, deprivation, poverty or other hidden crises, by working in partnership with local communities to provide education, healthcare and protection. The charity exists to give children in some of the world's poorest countries the educational opportunities they need to help transform their lives. At the heart of their work is the belief that education is an essential tool to overcome poverty. Children in Crisis currently operates in eight countries including the U.k, Arghanistan, China, Democratic Republic of Congon, East Timor, Liberia, Sierra Leone and the Ukraine.

I've set myself the target of raising £2000 before the start of the race. Any donation you could make would not only be very motivating for me, but would also help a very worthwhile charity. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Children in Crisis gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. Thanks for reading this begging message!
