We provide care, education and therapy to children with brain injury.

Story

Hi and welcome and many thanks for visiting my fundraising page. It is hugely appreciated.

I am very fortunate to be running this year's London Marathon, to raise money for The Children's Trust, inspired in part by the success of my sister-in-law, Melissa, last year and my elder brother Bill's completion of the event in 1993.

The Children's Trust provides care, education and therapy to children with multiple disabilities. Some of these children have been born with disabilities and some have suffered a brain injury as the result of a tragic accident or illness, like meningitis. Most cannot walk or talk, and have impaired hearing or vision or both.

The Trust want to change the lives of far more children and their families, their ambition being to substantially increase the amount of trained professionals who look after them and I would really appreciate your support in making a donation.

I have been in training for some time now, my target is to raise £10,000 for the Trust and my goal is to run the marathon in 4 and a half hours.

I would be incredibly grateful for your support and, if you can help, your donation will make a direct difference to some very deserving children.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Children's Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Many, many thanks!!

Best wishes,

Ed.
