Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

The RHN cares for people who have brain damage or a disease affecting their brain. People come to the RHN for many reasons, from a stroke to a traffic accident, or a disease. The RHN provides services and therapies to ensure people with neuro-disability can have the best quality of life possible.

Story

I've done it!  I have finished the only Marathon I am ever going to run!  See my results here.

Enormous thanks to everyone who helped to smash the target of raising £3,500 for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (RHN).

About the hospital again: The RHN is a unique hospital for adults affected by injury or disease to the brain and nervous system. Our family friend Tom Hurndall spent the last eight months of his life in the RHN in 2003-4, and I ran in his memory. You may have seen his story in the BAFTA-winning film The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall on Channel 4 in last October.

Now that I have run my last run, my training spreadsheet is finished too.

Thanks again to everyone who chipped in for the sponsorship or came down to cheer me on.
