The date is now set: weather permitting, July 12th is the day for the Great Channel Expedition. Originally titled the Norman Conquest we had to change it because the French coastguard will only give permission to go from Dover to France and not the other way round. All safety boats are now in place, and the training is going well. We are studying the tide tables. The picture on the left shows the crew ready for action. There are seven of us rowing in a 34ft Thames Cutter and another five paddling in sea kayaks. We are raising money for the Save Canterbury Appeal and for Odyssey, the charity which gives adventure experiences to those with cancer. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Save Canterbury Cathedral will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Our son Jerome (that's him third from left) , and I are both rowing, and we are sharing this fundraising page. So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support. Ed and Jerome Condry
