About my charity : Save Canterbury Cathedral Save Canterbury Cathedral
£50 million must be raised in the next 5 years otherwise we face the possibility of a future without Canterbury Cathedral. Extensive and costly work is needed to conserve the stonemasonry, stained glass windows and lead roof. In addition major development projects are required to take the Cathedral into the 21st century.
Charity Registration No 1112590
Fundraising target:  £5,000.00
Donations so far:  £ 2,978.00

My personal message:

The date is now set: weather permitting, July 12th is the day for the Great Channel Expedition. Originally titled the Norman Conquest we had to change it because the French coastguard will only give permission to go from Dover to France and not the other way round.

All safety boats are now in place, and the training is going well. We are studying the tide tables. The picture on the left shows the crew ready for action.

There are seven of us rowing in a 34ft Thames Cutter and another five paddling in sea kayaks.

We are raising money for the Save Canterbury Appeal and for Odyssey, the charity which gives adventure experiences to those with cancer.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Save Canterbury Cathedral will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Our son  Jerome (that's him third from left) , and I are both rowing, and we are sharing this fundraising page. So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
