Story
On the 22nd April, I will be attempting the National Three Peaks Challenge (climbing/walking/crawling up Ben Nevis, Snowden and Scarfell Pike) in just 24 hours.
The Sebastian Coe Foundation supports a variety of inspirational projects, I am helping support one of these projects specifically which is raising money for the Francis Crick Institute. The Francis Crick Institute is a biomedical centre based at St Pancras, London housing 1,250 scientists all trying to find cures for human diseases and illnesses. With an annual budget of over £100 million it is the biggest single biomedical laboratory in Europe it aspires to be one of the world's leading medical research institutes, the heart of their philosophy is a commitment to the highest quality science.
I was made aware of the Sebastian Coe Foundation through work, where as our charity of the year we are aiming to raise over £200,000 in just over a year. Training has begun in earnest and the event is fast approaching, I will be joined by thirty other work colleagues.
