Story
Thanks for visiting My fundraising page.
This coming May I am rowing 500 miles from London to Paris, racing as a team member of one crew racing another crew over 6 days and nights to be the first to the Eiffel Tower.
The race will take me down the Thames, into and across the English Channel and then up the Seine on the spring tide to Paris.
There are only 3 days each year when the spring tide surge enables teams to row up the currents at the mouth of the Seine - which is why more people have climbed Everest than have rowed to Paris.
By the time May comes round I will have been training solidly for nearly 12 months, pulling over 1million metres on a rowing machine, nursing blisters on both hands and bums and enduring the question 'Why on earth would you do that?' from everyone we have told.
The answer is to raise money for two very special charities. The Ickle Pickles Children's Charity and Help for Heroes.

I am signed up to support the Help for Heroes Charity (boat). Obviously we are favourites to win this having me on board, but I can honestly say for the first time in my life it really is not about the winning (well maybe a little bit) it is the taking part that counts, for such worthwhile causes.
JustGiving will collect Gift Aid on your donation (an additional 25%) and they'll distribute the donations directly to my chosen charitiy.
I am delighted you have visited my Just Giving page - and would like to say a HUGE thank you in advance for any donation large or small.
