Story

It was an amazing trip, but unfortunetely I had to turn back after my third climb to Camp1. My health got the better of me and with a stomach issue for over a week, and not being able to rehydrate or eat properly I was unable to carry on climbing. If you would still like to donate that would be great!

Original page message:

So I'm heading off to Pakistan to attempt to climb Nanga Parbat with Sandy from my last Himalaya trip and his friend Rick.

At 8125m this is the 9th highest mountain in the world, and will be quite a challenge for me http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanga_Parbat but will be an amazing experience; even if summit can't be made this time...

Whilst doing this I'd like to raise money for Mercy Ships; a charity which runs a hospital ship which docks in deprived areas around the world and provides medical and surgical services to those with limited or no access. I know their latest ship 'Africa Mercy' from working alongside her in Newcastle during her refit, and randomly met some of the crew whilst out in Sierra Leone last year.

If you'd like to donate they will certainly put it to good use!

Cheers

Ed
