LANDS END (Depart 19th Sept 2010) TO JOHN O'GROATS BY BIKE "LEJOG" (arrive ???)

WHY AM I DOING THIS

As some of you know I have been involved with Education For All Morocco since the beginning which helps to provide college education for girls from the rural High Atlas mountains in Morocco  ( see www.efamorocco.org for more details of our work )and due to the fantastic support we have been receiving EFA is now building its 3rd boarding house.  As our capacity increases of course so do our running costs and as well as cycling one of the classic cycling routes in the UK  I want to try and achieve 2 things to help EFA meet its running costs.

1. I want to raise £10,000 the running costs of the 3rd house for 2010/2011 academic year.

2. I want to raise awareness and so fill up (10 places remain for 2011 event) our charity cycle ride each year in March/April in Morocco for EFA. see http://www.efamaroc.org/get-involved/events/bike-holiday.html

The ride will be 1600km approximately and having donations will provide much needed motivation especially when the going gets tough and its raining!! ..as someone asked me ... "Mike, why are you cycling through England and Scotland in September/October when you cycled through Spain in August last year?"   Yes being a bit mad helps....   please help me achieve my targets.

Thank you everyone for your support without it EFA would not be where it is now and you have already provided college education to many girls from the rural High Atlas that would otherwise not have had the life changing gift of education.

Thank you personally and from everyone at EFA
