Since Ellis’ passing, we have been overwhelmed with both the support and interest shown by family, friends and the general public.
During Ellis’ illness we as a family had no idea how much time and attention goes into each and every child that is unlucky enough to get sick. As well as an amazing team of doctors and nurses, charities like TCT were instrumental in Ellis’ care.
Teenage cancer Trust (TCT) makes sure young cancer patients get the best possible care in hospital and the chance to do all the things that other teenagers do. TCT funds specialist teenage cancer units in the NHS, there are currently 12 across the UK each one costing £2 million to build. Their aim is to give every young person with cancer access to a unit – which means another 22 units by 2012. They provide expert staffing and support for patients and their family throughout their cancer journey. They empower young people through education and advocacy. Through supporting TCT the Ellis Harriet Clark Foundation can help achieve this goal. Not only will it contribute to their fundraising but TCT encourage Foundations like Ellis’ to donate specifically say for example by providing creature comforts in interior designed rooms and wards or plasma TVs and games consoles, to offering entertainment & beauty therapists..
TCT is one of two charities supported by the Ellis Harriet Clark Foundation which was founded in memory of Ellis with the aim of making the lives of children suffering with cancer a little easier.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: TCT gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
THANK YOU
